For me what became the depiction of the revolt against sexuality understood in the standard binary sense were reptiles: animals simultaneously repulsive and attractive due to their unusual look. Besides the vast variety of shapes, I was fascinated by the lack of sexual dimorphism (from a human perspective) in reptiles.

I decided to combine my pre-transition body with reptile silhouettes, thus opposing the femininity imposed by society. Then, I partially deconstructed these hybrids: the multiplied legs and tails, deformed flaps of skin and shells, or spikes sticking out from unusual places adorn the creation like pieces of avant-garde clothing.
Regardless of the radical changes to my physiology and the incompatibility with my self-identity, demonstrated in the experience, I decided to not subject the ‘old body’ to demonization. On the contrary, I pay tribute to it as a vessel that stored me, despite all the obstacles, until the day of the first testosterone injection. Having faced many changes affected by the hormone, it is still able to serve me.
